Kymmenen – The Exhibition

Gallery Tehdassali, Culture Factory Vernissa, 2–29 October 2026

Over the past ten years, House of Auer has become a central part of Finnish queer culture. The group has taken its drag clubs, DJ sets and zany camp performances to stages across Finland and Estonia, often to venues where drag art has never been seen before.

House of Auer: Kymmenen – The Exhibition brings a retrospective of the collective’s work to the Vernissa Tehdassali gallery to mark their anniversary year. Having evolved from an Instagram meme account into a sought-after professional collective, the group’s ten-year journey has taken the girls to countless cities and onto numerous stages, from basement bars to theatres. The exhibition features a retrospective, photographs and memories from over the years.

Exhibition design by Silja Tusa.

The exhibition has been made possible by: the City of Vantaa, Vernissa, Mimmi Ahonen, Taneli Kemppi.
