The Happy Auer Drag Show is the collective’s first foray into producing drag events and its longest-running project. The first Happy Auer was organised in collaboration with Vernissa’s Thursday Club on 26 October 2017, where, alongside House of Auer, four performers made their drag debuts.
Over 40 different drag performers from Finland and Latvia took to the stage at the events. During the coronavirus pandemic, Happy Auer moved to Instagram Live, where it entertained viewers at home on three consecutive Saturday evenings.
The club was held at Vernissa on nine occasions, with each evening centred around a different theme. Themes included musicals, Christmas, Madonna, memes and TV series. The theme was reflected not only in the performances but also in the event’s marketing, graphics and even the interval playlists.
