House of Auer’s drag workshop teaches the basics of drag history and the ABC’s of how to find your own drag persona through makeup, clothes and performing.

Clown Ambition Drag Workshop

A four-part drag course for beginners, organised in collaboration with KAMU Espoo City Museum in May–June 2023. The course culminated in a drag show. Nine enthusiastic performers took part in the course, where they were introduced to the significance and history of drag art, drag as a form of self-expression, culture, and art, in addition to lessons on makeup and performance.

House of Auer Drag Workshop

Siinpool Sood was a drag project organised as part of Tartu’s programme as European Capital of Culture in 2024. House of Auer took part in the project by bringing its Cocktail Auer cabaret to Klubi Gutenberg in Tartu, and ran a two-part workshop for the project’s participants over the weekend. The workshops covered organisation, concept development, the importance of community, and DIY culture. Together with the Siinpool Sood project, we developed and strengthened the advancement of drag art and the drag community in Estonia, and deepened cooperation and cultural exchange on both sides of the Gulf of Finland.
